I have a Bachelor in Science degree in Psychology, with a focus on Sociology and Criminal Justice from Oregon State University, that has taught me a lot about our justice system, mental health, and human behavior. With a background in schooling as well as experience working directly with children and adolescents, I have learned a lot about navigating tough situations and circumstances with youth. My schooling involved classes like mental health and disorders, brain and behavior, cognitive psychology, many criminology courses, as well as classes on therapeutic approaches involving frameworks and techniques on how to navigate tough conversations and situations. I have taken classes on trauma in terms of domestic violence, and PTSD as well. I have found that I enjoy connecting with youth within the Justice System, and am excited to help on their journey through our Justice System.
