Kyle McMillen

I studied in every aspect of live production from the events themselves to their marketing and organization. From planning to teardown I've studied every part of live event production in tech roles, organizational roles, and marketing roles.

I oversaw the curation of the music in Skylla sutomation system, took submussions from
up and coming artists for air play, helped produce liners, legal IDs, and other student
content, and pioneered the Millitrax A-Sides program; a live music program in
collaboration with the university’s recording studio.

I led work calls, from setups, and rehearsals, to teardowns and crew trainings to ensure
contracted artists had their needs attended to. I also worked with the Lighting and
Sound Supervisor and Production Manager to address all needs of the operations of
the venue on the backstage crew.

From setup, to load out, I worked theatre, live music, and corporate events, in lighting,
audio, rigging, projections, and more to put help execute professional-looking events,
and sifted through tech riders and communicated with contracted artists to address
their specific requirements and preferences.

I led the setup and execution of weekly services, ensuring seamless transitions between
live and online experiences, coordinated and trained a team of volunteers to operate
lighting, audio, video switchers, and cameras, and implemented standardized
procedures to maintain consistency in service quality across different platforms.
