November 8th IABC Luncheon Speaker Kyra Bussanich Cooks Up a Potent Marketing Strategy

In November, we can’t wait to hear from the pastry chef and entrepreneur behind Kyra’s Bake Shop located in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Kyra Bussanich’s bakery is exclusively gluten-free, winning awards and competitions—such as the Food Network’s Cupcake Wars—and remains the ONLY 4-time Cupcake Wars winner to date.

Kyra will share her amazing story and the roots of how her bake shop came to be, and how she approaches marketing and outreach. For instance, she doesn’t spend any money on paid advertising but gets a ton of business from referrals, word-of-mouth marketing, and a strong online presence. Kyra will also share how she incorporates partnerships with strategic business and community partners who help promote her company on her behalf, how she utilizes a variety of communications channels that include social media, podcast participation, and her TV appearances as part of building brand equity which all drive awareness and ultimately visits to the shop. She also capitalizes on her employees being ambassadors of the brand to their tribes and using their channels of outreach.
