What do you want and how to get it

You work hard. You have an amazing resume. You have an excellent skill set as it relates to the position. You do your homework on the company you are interviewing at. Then you get to the interview and you don’t represent
yourself well at all. You barely recognize yourself. Your confidence is lost, you stumble over words and you just can’t make those interviewing tips we all read about happen.  Disaster has struck despite your best efforts.

How do we prevent this from happening?

You need to build your confidence to rise above these stressful situations. It’s easier said then done, but whether looking for a new job, promotion or career change, your ability to build confidence, make connections and have fun during your journey will expedite the changes needed to get the results you want.

pdxMindShare will host our next monthly event on Wednesday, February 19th at Trader Vic’s where our speaker, Cleon Coxx III, will elaborate on how to make the changes to your confidence and speaking abilities to get what you want. Cox has worked his way into a successful career and believes it helps to continually network and connect with area professionals on your journey. As he says here of his art of connecting:

“Much is said and written about networking. I’m a big believer in networking for life in general. Lately though, I am calling it connecting because I see so many people running around a group handing out their cards and calling it “networking” . Connecting is always learning something about the other person and listening well enough to find out if there is something I can offer besides just my services or product.”

Cox truly believes this should be an enjoyable endeavor that will help build your confidence as you expand your network of area professionals as well. Join us! You just might take away something that will help you secure your next new job or promotion.
