We are always looking forward to the next pdxMindShare event. Who wouldn’t? We have great speakers present during the career-focused workshop on ways in which you can improve your career or tips on landing a new job, and then we get to network with dozens of Portland professionals. There’s always a great mix of new and frequent attendees spanning many different industries. This month is particularly special as we are having our event at a new location for the first time in more than two years. Our friends at Trader Vic’s recently experienced fire damage and can’t host us. Luckily, Ecliptic Brewing is taking us in. We will certainly miss Trader Vic’s and hope they reopen for business very soon. If you’ve never been, this brewery, at the South end of Mississippi, is great: fantastic beer (wine & cocktails too!) and fabulous, locally-sourced food. This is a great opportunity to check them out. Their happy hour menu is pretty awesome and on Wednesdays, they give a $5 discount off growler refills.
We hope to see you all on Wednesday, March 16th. As usual, our workshop will kick off around 4:30PM and networking will follow at 5:30PM. Chris Bartell, founder of Super Powers Academy, will present a personal branding workshop on how to develop an elevator pitch that is sure to be remembered. JobJenny did recommend him, so he’s sure to be great!
Now, meet Chris and find out why you should attend our event:
Tell us a little about yourself:
I’ve always been an energizer and cheerleader for people and I realized a few years ago I could combine this passion with my 20 years of marketing experience into a powerful, unique coaching and consulting practice. Not only do I get to inspire brands to become super heroes, but get to be the VP of Marketing and Creative Director for individuals who desire powerful personal brands and a life of impact and meaning. Meanwhile, I get to share my energy and love of the stage with anyone who cares to listen! I love it!
