More Than Lip Service and a DEI Statement

Join Afrita Davis of Model Integrity LLC for a seminar on ways to implement meaningful equity work into your business or nonprofit. This will be an overview on how you can change hiring, onboarding and the workplace environment to be more equitable and move beyond just writing a DEI statement. This seminar will also cover what it means to be culturally competent, trauma informed, and discuss the addition of the B in DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging). As well as cover how businesses can externally interface/interact with their clients about these topics.

Presenter: Afrita M.S. Davis, MA (she/her/hers) is a Personal Development and DEIB Practitioner Coach serving DEIB practitioners, supervisors, and educators. As a former program director with 10+ years of experience in the non-profit sector focusing on supporting youth in the public education system and foster care system, I aim to support those who have committed themselves to staff and students. As a veteran of a foreign war with a Masters in Executive and Civic Leadership Development and a trained Co-Active Coach, I utilized multiple frameworks and a culturally relevant style to help others craft, clarify and follow their vision.

Location: This is a hybrid event. You can choose to either attend in-person, at our SE Portland office in The Factor Building or join virtually via Zoom. Tickets are the same and will include information for both in-person and online.
