The Art and Science Behind Cover Letters, Networking Letters and Thank You Notes — How to use them to help you endear the right people, captivate their attention, and close the deal.

Job JennyWe have so many ways to communicate with others in today’s world. From email and text messages to the good ol’ handwritten note, what is the best way to interact with others professionally? Whether you are looking to land a new job, expand your professional network, or just want to learn a little more of what is considered best practices for cover letters, networking letters, and thank you notes, don’t miss Jenny Foss’s workshop!

Cover Letters:  Cover letters are hard, for just about everyone. The good news is that, if you write a killer one, you’re going to stand out in the sea of mediocre cover letters. Jenny will cover the winning formula her team uses when constructing cover letters for their clients.

Networking Letters: Most of your friends and professional contacts would be more than willing to help you when you’re making a job change – if only they understood how, specifically, they can be useful. A networking letter can be an incredibly beneficial way to enlist your network to support you in ways that will be genuinely useful to you.

Networking letters alert your people that you are looking, and then go on to explain what types of companies you’d be a good fit in, what types of skills you’d like to use, and what the titles of these jobs might be within an organization.

Thank You Notes: A no-brainer. They not only matter, but there’s a way to do them that will leave a very positive impression after the interview, even if you didn’t knock it out of the park in the meeting. So many people waste this opportunity, so there is a sizable opportunity for job seekers if they nail the thank you note.
