When: Wednesday, April 20th, 2016
Where: Touché on the corner of NW Glisan & 15th
Time: 4:30 pm for the workshop & 5:30 pm for the networking event (Free event, no RSVP required and everyone is welcome!)
Resume writing is hard. It’s uncomfortable. It’s an awkward style of writing and, for most of us, it’s super confusing. Making matters more complex is what most people call “the resume black hole” – What exactly happens when you hit the “APPLY NOW” button on an online application? Do you know that, in many instances, your resume has to first pass through resume scanning software … before it ever gets in front of a human?
And even if you do know this, do you understand how to strategize accordingly?
This workshop will teach you how to construct a targeted, on-point, you-had-me-at-hello resume that sails through the resume scanning software and then inspires a recruiter or hiring manager to call you in for an interview.
Jenny will take a dreaded assignment and make it a lot more understandable, and completely survivable.
5:30 pm Networking event: Grab a cocktail and make some new personal & professional connections with dozens of Portland professionals!
Mark your calendars! We hope to see you then and please remember this is a FREE event and everyone is welcome. Reach out to Shannon if you have any questions!
