Career-Focused Workshop: Extreme PowerPoint: killer techniques you can use at once” with Jim Edgerton, Marketing Advisor & Former Microsoft Instructor
Most of us already know to avoid PowerPoint Karaoke: reading the slide to the audience as if they can’t read it themselves. But do you know how to make your messages truly memorable? Can you build an interactive link between PowerPoint and Excel that will update your presentation on the fly? Or can you use PowerPoint to create a self-running product demonstration with voice-over and a music track?  We will show you how to do these super duper uber tricks with very little work.

These delivery tips, visual tricks and little known features of PowerPoint will turn you into a PowerPoint guru. You may not replace Steve Jobs, but you’ll certainly become a legend in your office. It will be up to you if you want to start wearing black turtlenecks.

About Jim:
Jim Edgerton’s resume says that he’s spent the last 20 years as a marketing advisor for international companies like Mentor Graphics and Tektronix. What the resume doesn’t say is that he’s had a long history as a public presenter. He ran for office and won an election, performed as a professional standup comedian, and was an instructor for Microsoft (teaching everyone’s favorite presentation product). His experience with PowerPoint actually precedes the product’s introduction.

Please don’t hold the political thing against him. It was a lapse in judgement.

Check out this video on why you should attend this event!

5:30 pm Networking event: Grab a cocktail and make some new personal & professional connections with dozens of Portland professionals!

Mark your calendars! We hope to see you then, and please remember this is a FREE event everyone is welcome to attend. Reach out to Shannon if you have any questions!
