The Elevating Impact Summit brings together hundreds of people from interdisciplinary backgrounds and diverse industries to learn about and celebrate social innovation.

In 2018, the Summit will explore the lens of thinking in opposites–how surprising approaches and unlikely partnerships lead to unforeseen breakthroughs.

Join us in the Gerding Theater at the historic Portland Armory on February 9th 2018 for a full-day, immersive experience.

Speakers:
Ridhi D’Cruz is an intercontinental sociocultural anthropologist who leads initiatiatives in diversity, equity, houseless advocacy, and inclusive placemaking.

Ridhi’s thoughtful leadership sparks innovation and drives creative projects at City Repair and with The City of Portland, and fuels initiatives like the Kenton Women’s Village and the Veteran’s Village, as well as design and instruction at Witch Hazel.

Mauricio Lim Miller is a leading social entrepreneur who addresses systemic barriers that challenge families’ ability to leverage their assets, strengths, and capacities, and combats poverty by letting families themselves be the change agents.

Mauricio’s recognition by the MacArthur Foundation, Ashoka, Encore, and his appointment by President Obama to the White House Council for Commmunity Solutions all recognize his quest to find out how families really overcome poverty.

John Warner is an inventor, an author, and one of the founders of the field of Green Chemistry. His work has contributed to the elimination of hazardous, unhealthy, and destructive substances in everything from pharmaceuticals and personal care products to solar energy and and paving.

John Warner’s place in Utne Reader’s “25 Visionaries Changing the World,” and his countless other awards and recognitions, speak to his thoughtful approach, in which he not only invents new molecules, but has set out to educate all chemists to create commercially viable but environmentally benign technologies.
