Laura Amans – Partner & Chief People Officer at Sesame Collective
Laura is Co-Founder and Owner of Sesame Collective, a local restaurant group in Portland, OR that operates 7 locations, with 1 in Vancouver, WA. She wears many hats, with her primary function serving as the group’s Chief People Officer. She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a B.S. in Hospitality Management. She has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, over 10 years of People Management experience, and 4+ years of experience as a business owner. She is a recovering perfectionist who is passionate about a people-first culture, efficient & streamlined processes, and continuous improvement and growth. When not elbow-deep in restaurant & people operations, she enjoys discovering new places with her partner, Eddie, and her 2 dogs, Rosie & Delbert, and self/leadership development through books, podcasts, social media, and conversations with anyone interested in the topic.
