First Church is seeking to hire an Administrative Assistant.


GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION & FUNCTIONS: The position maintains the church database, membership and contribution records. Assists the Church Administrator with accounting functions as directed and acts as the primary greeter for visitors to the Church Office. This position designs, produces and distributes all print publications. Primary point person for operation of all the church’s office equipment, and acts as lead employee for volunteers and interns. Serves as administrative support to pastors, program staff and church committees as needed.

JOB CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt, hourly, 40 hrs/wk

LOCATION: Portland, OR – Offices of First United Methodist Church
