Spring speakers for pdxMindShare announced

pdxMindShare, which was established in 1999 by Kent Lewis of Anvil Media, has been Portland’s premier career community with a career-focused workshop and networking event on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. It was created as a way to bring professionals in the area together and expand their networks. In addition to being a great place for employers looking for qualified candidates, the intention has been to help those involved get new or better jobs, change careers or advance careers through relevant workshops and networking. Workshop topics can be anything from, but not limited to, how to improve your resume, tips on using LinkedIn, networking and more. We bring in Portland professionals to present that are experts in their topics.  

Since September of this past year, our events, which have been held by our very wonderful hosts at Trader Vic’s Portland, have averaged nearly 70 participants from the Portland area. We have a powerhouse lineup of speakers for our upcoming workshops, and we hope to see you at one of the events at the very least. Workshops begin at 4:30PM and networking follows at 5:30PM. Here is what you have to look forward to for the career-focused workshops:

Wednesday, March 19th
Luke Adams of Luke Adams Consulting will present on the 3 Keys to Positive Networking/Marketing. Intimidated about working a room or handing out a business card? Wednesday, April 16th
Jenny Foss of JobJenny.com will teach you had to be a stand out in her presentation on What is Your Brand? Why Should Anyone Care? She helps people daily with writing resumes and cover letters, she knows what employers are looking for and most of all, she is determined to help you get the job you deserve. Don’t miss this!

Wednesday, May 21
Kim Morrison will answer the questions we’ve all been looking for when it comes to interviewing. What is the interviewer thinking? Kim has a unique perspective on just what employers are thinking when you are interviewing for that job you so desperately want. Join her for A Hiring Managers Perspective of Interviews
