Meet MindShare’s Founder, Kent Lewis, & Why You Should Attend February’s Event!

The new year is well under way with one successful event under our belt. Jenna Cooper of Gratia PR gave a fabulous presentation on learning to present to an audience of any size. Looking forward, we have Kent Lewis, President and CEO of Anvil and Founder of pdxMindShare, presenting on February 17th. You will be able to learn “Building Your Brand on Social Media in 15 Minutes Daily” for his career-focused workshop. Following his presentation, attendees have the opportunity to network with dozens of Portland professionals. These events are held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month, and EVERYONE is invited. You do not need to RSVP. Just show up and be ready to learn a little and meet some lasting connections that have the potential to help you on your career endeavors. All of our events are held the 3rd Wednesday of each month at Trader Vic’s in downtown Portland. The workshop begins at 4:30PM and networking at 5:30PM. You can come for both components or both! Reach out to Shannon if you have any questions!

Now, please meet Kent Lewis and why you should attend February 17th’s event in his own words:

Tell us a little about yourself.
I’m a Scorpio that enjoys time with the family and visits to Grocery Outlet Bargain Market. When I’m not driving sales and marketing efforts for Anvil, teaching at PSU or networking at MindShare events, I’m volunteering my time with SMART and Entrepreneurs’ Organization. I’m a big fan of the Pacific NW, Portland food, and the Oregon Coast.

What will you be covering in your presentation?
I will help individuals with limited bandwidth create a compelling social media presence that will help them grow personally and professionally.

Why should Portland professionals attend?
Anyone interested in increasing their visibility or credibility within their network or a specific community online will benefit from the strategies and tactics outlined in this workshop.

What are the top 3 takeaways for attendees?
The primary takeaways from this presentation will include 1) Managing multiple social media profiles doesn’t require a meaningful amount of time, yet can maximize reach. 2) Creating sufficient volumes of content can take time, but done intelligently, will yield significant reach and value. 3) A small investment in research can yield great insights that direct content strategies that maximize engagement.

Can’t make this event? No sweat! We will periscope the event (Look out for the link to do so!) or you can catch us on March 16th for our next event with Chris Bartell who will teach us about unleashing the Super Powers inside us.
